Styling your comments

You can add math or code to your comment and style it as follows.

  • Math (LaTeX):   $ ... $
    Example:   $\sum_{i = 1}^n x^i$
    Output:   $\sum_{i = 1}^n x^i$
  • Inline code:   ` ... `
    Example:   `y = x + z`
    Output:   y = x + z
  • Code block:   ``` ... ```
    Example:
    ```
    def f(x):
        return x+1
    ```
    Output:
    def f(x):
      return x+1
  • Bold text:   ** ... **   or   __ ... __
    Example:   **This is bold.**
    Output:   This is bold.
  • Italic text:   * ... *   or   _ ... _
    Example:   *This is italic.*
    Output:   This is italic.
  • Quote text:   > ...
    Example:
    > This is quoted text.
    The quote continues.

    This is not quoted.

  • Links:   [link text](url)

    You can also just type the address on its own.
